【金錢動詞】Account

Account (帳戶)，片語Account for有四種意思，不論是商務或新聞，都非常常用：

做消費紀錄：
I need to account for every penny spent.
(我必須記錄每一筆花出去的錢)

做說明：
Can you account for your mistake?
(你能說明這次錯誤的原因嗎？)

知道人或東西在哪裡、清楚下落：
They can’t account for the 10 missing tourists.
(他們不清楚十位失蹤旅客的下落)

佔有多少比例：
The new products accounts for 30% of our revenue.
(新產品占總營收百分之三十)

【金錢動詞】Bail
Bail (保釋、保釋金)，動詞「保釋」
You may bail. (你可以被保釋了)

片語Bail out，保釋、紓困

Pay $10,000 to bail him out.
(付一千塊錢將他保釋)
I finally bailed out from the situation.
(我終於擺脫了困境)
Are you willing to bail out the failing company?
(你真的要救這家爛公司嗎？)

Bail out 有兩種完全不同概念，當船進水快沉了，當飛機要墜毀了，我們可以把水一桶一桶往外倒，Bail out the boat (紓困)，也可以跳傘各自逃命，Bail out of the plane (擺脫)...

Bail out of a plane，跳傘(尤指墜機時)

【金錢動詞】Perk
Perk(津貼、外快)，Perquisite['pɝkwəzɪt]的縮寫

 
Perk也是Percolate(煮咖啡)的縮寫，The coffee is perking

動詞「豎起」「振奮」「打扮」「裝飾」
Dogs perk up the ears. (狗豎起耳朵)
Dog’s ears perk up. (狗豎起耳朵)

Coffees perk me up. (咖啡令我振奮)
I perk up when drinking coffee. (咖啡令我振奮)
* 電視劇Friends，六位主角常常在Central Perk咖啡館Hang out(聚會)，Central (中央公園)、Perk (振奮)：

She is perking up at the mirror.
(她在鏡子前打扮)
* Perk up通常都是已經打扮好，然後又繼續東加西減，想要更漂亮

The colorful painting perks up the room.
(這張五顏六色的圖讓房間為之一亮)

Value(價值)，動詞「估價」「評價」「重視」
to value a house (估價房屋)
to value my privacy (重視個人隱私)

估價用Value at ，重視用Value for
to value something at one million (估計價值有一百萬)
to value you for the hard work (重視你的努力)
