這集空英出現兩個錯誤

1) 男子名Louis的發音，變成女子名Louise

2) 歌曲Drag Me Down中譯錯誤，這是非戰之罪，因為中文專輯「阻礙我」，空英也只能從惡如流，網路還有翻得更誇張，「撂倒我」，真是被撂倒了

Though One Direction (1D) remains(依然) extremely popular, it seems their name may no longer(不再) be correct.

All roads lead to(通往) The X Factor

Before the band started, its name already fit(符合) its members well.

All five – Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn – were competing(競爭) in 2010’s season of The X Factor.

All five were also cut(淘汰) from the TV talent show(電視選秀節目) before reaching the finals(決賽).

However, in a surprise move(在一個出乎意料的舉動下), the program’s judges(節目評審) decided to group(聚集) them together.

The band took only third place(只拿到第三名) but was immediately offered(立刻獲得) around a 2 million pound(英鎊) record deal(專輯合約).

 

Going up(竄紅)

One Direction did not perform(表演) like second runners-up(第三名), but like champions.

Their first single “What Makes You Beautiful” topped U.K. charts(獲得英國排行榜冠軍) in 2011.

Up All Night, their first album(專輯), was a bestseller(暢銷品) in both Great Britain(英國) and the United States.

They sold out(銷售一空) their first tour(第一次巡迴表演) in minutes and developed(開發) their own product lines(產品系列).

By 2012 they were performing at the London Olympics.

Louis

男子名「路易」，為什麼要列這個字為單字呢？因為連空英也發錯了，發成女生的名字Louise(露易絲)，包括名牌包Louis Vuitton，正確發音是「路易胃疼」，V要發W音，以下MP3示範：Louis Tomlinson is a member of the boy band One Direction

 

Runners-up

第二名，但這是複數型態，如果第二名只有一位：Runner-up，而One Direction拿到第二個Runners-up，所以他們是第三名

One Direction’s success continued through four albums in the space of(在…時間內) only three years.

But trouble began when the band returned to the road(重回巡迴表演) in 2015.

After frequent absences(經常性缺席) during the tour, Zayn suddenly made his departure(離開) from the band.

He left to be “a normal 22-year-old” and live “out of the spotlight(鎂光燈).”

The band seemed to make a statement(發表聲明) with their single “Drag Me Down(拖累我)” that summer.

By fall(秋天), however, they decided to take a break(休息一下) starting in 2016.

 

To each his own (分道揚鑣)

In November 2015, they released(發表) Made in the A.M., their most recent album(最新專輯).

All the boys were pursuing(追求) their own projects(計畫方案) by the time(在…時間知前) it went Platinum(成為白金唱片).

Harry is taking part in(參與) a film while Louis is enjoying fatherhood(父親的角色).

Two plan to enter business(從商) – Liam in producing music(製作音樂) and Niall with a golf agency(高爾夫經紀公司).

Meanwhile(在此同時), Zayn has already launched(發動) his own music career.

In the space of

某短時間內，Space(空間)也可以拿來當時間，但是必須搭配以下三個片語：In the space of (a time period), within the space of (a time period), a short space of time(短時間內)

 

Drag someone down

有兩個意思，1)讓某人心情不好，2)拖累某人，類似像拖油瓶，Drag Me Down這首歌，不是中譯的「阻撓我」，應該是「拖累我」，歌詞：With your love, nobody can drag me down (有妳的愛，沒有人能拖住我前進)，歌詞中譯更誇張，翻譯成沒有人能「撂倒我」，該抓去槍斃

 

Take a break

休息一下，比方休息十分鐘，Let’s take a 10 minutes break，這個詞也廣用在男女朋友關係，明明想分手Break up with you，斷絕關係Break off with you，卻用Take a break掩飾，「小學生才要Take a break，大人講Take a break就是Break up！」引用自電影The Switch(精選完美男 2010)
