【一天精通一單字】Bind
有一位網友問Bound這個字，一篇關於Taylor Swift的貼文，”bound to be ”，看起來怪怪的，不知如何翻譯：
With all her tunes about happy-ever-afters, there was bound to be a few that cross the line of romantic and get a little raunchy.

分析：
it is bound to be，不可避免的，是美國人根深蒂固的詞，像口頭禪，作者把it改成there

翻譯：
她的歌詞的大多是幸福快樂，然而不可避免的(bound to be)，會碰觸一些禁忌的愛情，變得有一點點猥褻

【動詞的Bind】
Bind，「綑綁、約束」，不規則動詞，過去式和過去分詞都是Bound
* 因為多半是被捆綁約束，所以Bound比Bind更常用

常用詞：Bound and Gagged，雙手被綁、嘴被塞住
She was found bound and gagged in her own apartment.
(她被發現在自己家雙手被綁、嘴被塞住)
* Gag，塞住嘴巴、箝制言論

【動詞的Bound】
Bound不僅僅是Bind的分詞，自己也可以當動詞，「跳上跳下」
* 籃板球叫rebound，叫久了bound就變成動詞，和bind無關

常用詞：be bound to，非常有可能
