Field (原野、野手)，動詞源自棒球外野手fielder
to field for a baseball team (當棒球外野手)
to field a ground ball (接住滾地球)
Field在校園代表戶外教學，在商業派外面對客戶，在外交上是駐外，所以Field另一個意思是派遣：
to field a team (派出球隊)
to field candidates (提名候選人參選)

Ground (地面)，動詞「擱淺」、「置於地面」

The ship grounded in a bank. (船在淺灘擱淺)
飛機被迫落地用被動式
The airplane was grounded. (飛機不准起飛)
Be grounded有三種意思，一是禁足，二是給予基本教育，三是基礎根據：
I was grounded by my father.
(我被我爸禁足)
I was grounded in basic laws.
(我被施予基礎法律教育)
My idea was grounded in science fact.
(我的思想有科學根據)
