Life is a beautiful storm that I’ve weathered well.

Well Weathered，「飽受摧殘」
The brick wall has been well weathered from many years of neglect.
(這面牆歷經多年的忽視而飽受摧殘)

 

【自然動詞】Weather

動詞Weather有三種意思：

「默默承受」「安然度過」一段痛苦時間
to weather the recession (挨過經濟衰退)
to weather a crisis (度過危機)

 

受風雨陽光或歲月的「侵蝕」
The rock has weathered to a weird shape.
(石頭被風化成奇怪形狀)

 
His face was weathered by the wind and sun.
(他的臉歷經風霜)

 

衣服「耐磨」、油漆「不掉色」
The paint weathers well.
(這油漆不會掉色)
This pair of weathered jeans weather well.
(水洗牛仔褲很耐磨)
